Stop and Pop Drill for Freestyle #theraceclub
Putting your hands into the water too early is a common error for age groupers to masters swimmers. One of the easiest ways we cut frontal drag in freestyle, here at The race Club, is by keeping the hands above the surface for as long as possible.
In this video we go over the "Stop and Pop" drill. A favorite drill of ours to familiarize swimmers with the concept of reaching and lifting their hands before finally placing them in the water. This drill not only helps to reduce frontal drag but also helps swimmers feel the coupling energy that their body rotation provides
