In-app engagement data
When you watch videos or listen to podcasts inside Spot Sports, we record in-app engagement such as playback and completion events. We do not access your YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or other third-party account history.

- Send you relevant sports content recommendations
- Improve our content curation algorithms
- Communicate with you about updates and features
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance the Service

YouTube API Services
We use public YouTube metadata only — we do not connect to your personal Google or YouTube account.
Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
We use YouTube Data API with our own API key to retrieve public information about videos and channels. Spot Sports does not ask you to sign in with Google, does not access your personal YouTube account, and does not read your YouTube watch or search history.
The public YouTube data we fetch and store includes:
- Video metadata, including titles and thumbnails
- Channel information
- Public view counts and statistics
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Access controls and authentication
- Secure data storage with Supabase
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
You can update your information, delete your account, or opt out of marketing at any time.
You have the right to:
- Update: correct inaccurate information in your account settings
- Delete: delete your account and associated personal data from the Delete Account screen in the app
- Access: email us to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any marketing message

Data Retention
Personal data is deleted immediately when you delete your account; encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account:
- Your personal data is removed from our production database immediately
- Encrypted backups that include your data are purged within 30 days
Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information immediately.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable laws.
