Throwback Mixtape: The Ark Vigg and Vigg Air Wetsuit Review

We are heading back into the swimrun hot tub for another throwback mixtape, and this one is a fan favorite. We are rolling out our original deep dive on the Ark Vigg and Vigg Air, the suit Chris has been singing the praises of since his first swimrun back in 2020.

This episode comes straight from the vault, originally Episode 188 from August 10, 2023. It is a full gear talk panel with the crew testing out Ark prototype goggles, new flip-flops, and Stasher bags for electrolyte tabs before getting into the main event, a full breakdown of the Vigg and the then-new sleeveless Vigg Air.

We cover what the Vigg is built from, Yamamoto limestone neoprene with a glide skin coating, how the sleeveless Vigg Air gets its seal so tight thanks to lessons learned straight from designer Daniel Sand in Sweden, who should buy this suit as a second suit rather than a first, and where the fit and sizing quirks show up.
