Project 222
In 6 weeks I will try to break the World Record in the Mile. 222 seconds stand between me and history. This series follows the build-up to that world record attempt. Join me every Sunday as we show you the training, the testing, the science and decisions that all need to come together to make it possible.
But before London, there's one question that needs answering:
Can I actually run world record pace?
This week, we find out.
Fresh off an 800m PB in LA, I step onto the track for one of my biggest workouts of the year:
4 x 800m closing at World Record pace.
Alongside the session, we're putting potential race-day spikes through their toughest test yet to find out what gives us the best chance when it matters most.
If this workout goes well, it's proof we're on the right path. If it doesn't, we still have work to do.
This episode takes you inside the session, the spike testing, the build-up, and the conversations around what it takes to chase one of the hardest records in the sport.
The road to 222 continues. Time to see if the training passes the test.
