Backstroke Elevation Drill #theraceclub
We find that many backstrokers are losing a valuable portion of their pull due to a poor recovery. Swimmers often under rotate and fail to hyper extend their shoulders on the backstroke recovery.
The backstroke elevation drill demonstrated in this video can help emphasize the rotation and shoulder position that swimmers should aim for.
Greater extension and rotation will allow swimmers to both couple and propel themselves better, significantly improving velocity.
