THY Istanbul vs Novara | Full Match | CEV Volleyball Cup 2025 Semifinal | Game 2. Igor Gorgonzola Novara delivered a dominant performance in Istanbul, defeating THY Istanbul 3–0 in the second leg of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2025 semifinal and securing their place in the final in convincing fashion.

After already winning the first match 3–0 in Italy, Novara came into this game needing just two sets to advance. Despite strong support from the home crowd at Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall, THY Istanbul couldn’t complete the comeback and fell in straight sets: 25–27, 24–26, 18–25.

The opening set proved to be the turning point of the entire match. THY pushed hard and had momentum early on, but Novara showed incredible composure in the clutch moments to steal the set 27–25. From that point on, the Italian side took full control of the tie.

The second set followed a similar pattern, with both teams battling point-for-point. However, once again, Novara proved more efficient under pressure, closing the set 26–24 and officially booking their place in the final.

With qualification secured, Novara dominated the third set 25–18, while THY Istanbul struggled to maintain intensity after losing the first two tight sets.

Across both matches, Novara completely outclassed THY Istanbul, winning the semifinal with a perfect 6–0 set ratio. Their strong serving, disciplined block-defense system, and ability to perform in crucial moments made the difference throughout the tie.

This victory confirmed Novara as one of the strongest teams in the competition and a serious contender for the CEV Volleyball Cup title.
