In this golf lesson we talk about the the iron swing vs driver swing and the most important difference between them. Specifically focusing on how pressure, head position, and the low point of the swing should vary between the two.
PGA pro Kerrod Gray and Devan Bonebrake give the following advice:
For irons - The ball is on the ground, and you need to hit the ball first and the ground second. The head moves slightly forward at impact, and your chest (shirt buttons) should be over the ball.
For driver - The ball is teed up, so the swing should have an upward or level angle of attack. Your head stays behind the ball, and the low point of the swing is behind the ball, allowing for a higher launch.
