Listen in the appIn 2013, a group of women who were attending the BLACK SCUBA DIVERS ASSOCIATION Annual Summit, got together to discuss the lack of representation of African American women in the Diving World, Marine Sciences, Oceanographic studies, and scientific diving. What was born from this conversation was the creation of the most comprehensive program challenging the narrative of Blacks in aquatics, and in particular Black girls and women in diving. We'll speak to Dr. Nevada Winrow the co-founder of BLACK GIRLS DIVE FOUNDATION, about the origins, mission, and success of this amazing organization.
