Coach Magpayo has coached at several Division 1 colleges including Columbia, Campbell and University of San Francisco. In his first season as the Head Coach at UCR he finished with a school record in wins. Coach Magpayo is also a part of history as he is the first Asian American coach in Division 1 basketball in the modern era. He is also the proud founder and President of the Asian Coaches Association. This Association serves Asian basketball coaches of all levels all over the world.
