AARON EKBLAD AND BRAD MARCHAND RE-SIGN AS THE PANTHERS WILL ATTEMPT TO RUN IT BACK FOR A 3-PEAT!

Bill Zito did what most people saw as improbable and will have the band back together as the Cats have a chance to go for a three-peat. What to the clauses look like for both Ekblad and Marchand? Now the Panthers have a core...10? Yes, a core 10, something you don't see much in hockey as the salary cap will continue to go up, and the Panthers will only need to add depth pieces in future free agency periods. Right now the Panthers would not be able to put out a full lineup if opening night were tomorrow, but there will be a player that will be purged from the roster in order to make everybody fit, as July 1st will now be about getting under the cap while the rest of the NHL is trying to take down the Panthers with a possible big deal free agent move.
