Kiffin Admits LSU Has MAJOR Concerns at 2 Key Positions

Lane Kiffin wrapped up LSU’s first spring in Baton Rouge, and two position groups stand out as the biggest concerns heading into summer: cornerback and wide receiver.

At corner, LSU has elite talent at the top with DJ Pickett, PJ Woodland and Ja’Keem Jackson, but after losing Aidan Anding to a season-ending Achilles injury, the depth behind them becomes a major issue. Kiffin admitted no one truly stepped up during spring to ease those concerns, leaving LSU dangerously thin at one of the most important positions on the field.

At wide receiver, the challenge is the opposite. LSU added nine portal receivers and built the room for depth rather than star power. Instead of chasing one elite WR1, Kiffin wanted four to six dependable contributors who can thrive in his tempo offense. Players like Winnie Watkins, Jace Brown, Jackson Harris, Malik Elzy and Trey’Dez Green could make that vision work—but it still has to translate on Saturdays.
