The Phillies have lost nine consecutive games, following their first four-game sweep to the Cubs at Wrigley Field since 1973. The terrible run has Phillies manager Rob Thomson and hitting coach Kevin Long on the hot seat, while Dave Dombrowski’s job performance has come under scrutiny. After all, he signed both Nick Castellanos and Taijuan Walker, who the Phillies just released on Thursday.
