Listen in the appScotland's long wait to appear at the World Cup is almost over, and our countdown continues as John and Grant welcome along Hampden Roar creator and host Andy Bargh, who has launched a new book detailing the campaign called "A Long Time Coming". Andy talks about the quick-fire process of putting the book together, which included interviews with twelve players who featured in the journey, and trying to juggle a three-month turnaround for the project alongside preparing for his wedding. Andy rightly acknowledges his now wife Alex for her understanding in it all so he could get the book out ahead of the World Cup.
After some kind messages from some of Hampden Roar Podcast contributors, we chat about Scotland's journey to America, starting from the post-Euro's hangover to that unbelievable night against Denmark. Andy then names a Scotland line-up made up of players from the current squad and France '98.
