Phillies Win Their 5th Consecutive Series Under Don Mattingly

The Philadelphia Phillies keep finding ways to win — and they just did it in dramatic fashion at Fenway Park. Don Mattingly's Phillies have now won FIVE straight series since he took over as interim manager on April 28, going an incredible 11-3 in that stretch and slowly clawing their way back toward .500. But this series win came with extra drama. Jesús Luzardo squared off against former Phillies ace Ranger Suárez — now in a Red Sox uniform after signing a 5-year, $140 million deal with Boston — in one of the most emotionally charged pitching matchups of the 2026 season.
