PHILLIES POSTCAST: Philadelphia Phillies top Padres, 3-2 as Bryce Harper Blasts 2-Run Homer

Bryce Harper's two-run homer, Brandon Marsh's four-hit night lead the bats, while Aaron Nola and Johan Duran lead the arms in the Phillies 3-2 win over the Padres.

Aaron Nola’s night was done after five innings allowing two runs on four hits while striking out 8. The only costly mistake he made was leaving a 1-2 knuckle curve up a little too much to Gavin Sheets with a man on and sheets put it in the right field stands for a two-run homer. Nola threw 95 pitches over his outing with

The Phillies picked Nola up in the 4th inning, when Bryce Harper smacked a two-run homer of his own to left/center field to even the score at 2-2. It was Harper’s 14th homer of the season.    

Phils grabbed the lead in the 6th when Alec Bohm grounded into a double play but brought Harper homer from third.  

Johan Duran closed things out of the Phillies with a 1-2-3 9th for his 13th save on the season.
