Sprint Battle to the Line | Arctic Race of Norway stage 2 | Highlights
Cycling
Stage 2 of the 2025 Arctic Race of Norway saw Norwegian legend Alexander Kristoff claim a memorable victory on home soil in Sørreisa. The 166.5km route from Tennevoll featured early breakaways, KOM battles, and a technical finishing circuit with a gravel sector that kept the peloton on edge.
Local riders Storm Ingebrigtsen and Morthen Wang Baksaas animated the race early, trading blows for the northern lights jersey, while multiple attacks in the final laps kept the pace high. Late solo moves from Kevin Vermaerke and others were reeled in as the sprinters’ teams took control.
In the decisive uphill finish, Uno-X delivered a perfect lead-out, allowing Kristoff to power to his eighth career stage win in the Arctic Race of Norway. Tom Van Asbroeck and Karsten Larsen Feldmann completed the podium, while Corbin Strong retained the Midnight Sun jersey ahead of the summit finish on Målselv.
