If your confidence is tied to the minutes you play on a team, you could be in for a rocky ride in Junior or College

Because when you first move up your won’t be playing big minutes. Most likely you’ll play a more limited role;e with average or below average minutes as your coach get’s used to trusting you on the ice.

If your confidence was tied to ice time, you’ll be playing with less confidence
when you play fewer minutes.

The best place to be mentally is not having your confidence tied to the number of shifts you play

So no matter if it’s 8 or 18 minutes of ice time. You can play consistently across each and every shift.
