The Buffalo Sabres beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on December 29, 2025. Noah Ostlund kicked off the scoring for the Sabres off a pass from Josh Norris. The Blues scored two back to end the first with the lead. Late in the second, Alex Tuch tied the game, scoring off a cross-ice pass from Mattias Samuelsson. Zach Benson tallied a third goal to open the final frame and Peyton Krebs scored an empty net goal to close the game. Goaltender Alex Lyon made 18 saves in the matchup.
