Growing up the eldest son of a 5x NBA Champion, Ron Harper Jr. gave every sport a try before fully embracing his roots and shifting his focus full-time to basketball.
Now getting more and more comfortable in his new city, the Rutgers product and New Jersey native has embraced the food, the fans and everything that makes basketball special in both Boston and Portland.
"This team, this culture, it embodies everything I want to be as a player and as a person."
Following in their father's footsteps, Ron and his brother, Dylan, have forged their own paths to the league. Ron's journey from the @MaineCeltics to Boston and Dylan's rookie campaign with the San Antonio Spurs led the three Harper men to a competitive appearance in the Shooting Stars contest at this year's NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. As brothers do, Ron & Dylan couldn't help but laugh after their dad missed a layup 🤣
Ron says he's just a chill guy, but his love for his family and basketball has helped guide him to where he is today.
