Virginia Closes First Half On A 13-2 Run
The Virginia Cavaliers had a 4-point lead with 3 minutes remaining in the first half of their semifinal game against Miami at the 2026 T. Rowe Price ACC Men's Basketball Tournament when they went on a 13-2 run to close out the half. Thijs De Ridder got it started with a 3-pointer, Malik Thomas added a 3 as well and the run came to an end with Chance Mallory's brilliant steal and pull-up 3 as the buzzer sounded. From there, UVA was able to hold the Hurricanes at arm's length throughout the 2nd half, and the Cavs earned a trip to the finals. This run earns the nod as our CPI Security: Securing The Win Plays of the Game.
