From humble beginnings at Ateneo de Manila University and a stint in the US NCAA, Aguilar grew into a cornerstone of the national team — helping Gilas break decades-long droughts and leading them to multiple World Cups, an Asia Cup silver, and a long-awaited Asian Games gold. As he takes his final bow, a new generation of big men steps up to carry the legacy.
