Brooks Glycerin 23 review - first run and first impressions. After a seriously impressive first run in the Brooks Cascadia Elite trail shoe, I’ve got high hopes for the latest road release from Brooks, the Glycerin 23.

This updated version features a lower 8mm heel-to-toe drop and a higher stack of nitrogen infused DNA Tuned foam under the forefoot, designed to deliver a softer and more responsive ride.

Over the years I’ve tested plenty of Brooks Glycerin models. They’ve always been solid and reliable daily trainers, but if I’m honest they’ve never really stood out or felt that exciting to run in.

So the big question is, has Brooks finally made the Glycerin fun to run in?
