Week 21 delivered jaw-dropping saves across the NHL, from sprawling desperation stops to unbelievable glove robberies and game-saving heroics.
Connor Hellebuyck flashed the glove on Filip Forsberg, while Stuart Skinner went full “superman” with a diving stop to keep Pittsburgh alive late. Jake Oettinger denied Nathan MacKinnon point blank, and Scott Wedgewood came up big multiple times against Jason Robertson.
Jeremy Swayman delivered a spectacular post-to-post stop, while Ilya Sorokin defied all odds with an incredible recovery save. Kevin Lankinen entered the save-of-the-year conversation with a highlight-reel robbery on Brandon Hagel.
Akira Schmid made one of the most exciting plays of the season challenging the puck at the blue line before racing back to make a sliding save, while Arvid Söderblom stood tall without his stick during a chaotic sequence.
Casey DeSmith stole the show with a “ludicrous” glove save, Adin Hill answered with a scorpion-style stop of his own, and Devin Cooley and Karel Vejmelka came through with huge late-game saves.
