Andrew Toney is a former professional basketball player from Birmingham, Alabama who played for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1980–1988. A two-time NBA All-Star in 1983 and 1984, Toney was a key player in the 76ers' 1983 championship win. Throughout his career, he averaged 15.9 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game. Toney earned the nickname "Boston Strangler" for his performance against Boston and Los Angeles.
