The PGA TOUR heads to the Caribbean for the Puerto Rico Open, the 18th edition of the event and the first Additional Event of the 2026 season. Played alongside the Arnold Palmer Invitational, it offers a valuable early-season opportunity for players to secure a breakthrough victory and critical FedExCup points. This year’s field at Grand Reserve Golf Club features a blend of proven winners and rising talent. Michael Brennan arrives as the highest-ranked player in the field, sitting inside the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking and already a TOUR winner. Two-time TOUR winner Nick Dunlap makes his tournament debut, while European Ryder Cup player Rasmus Højgaard returns for his second start in Puerto Rico. Three PGA TOUR University standouts, Luke Clanton, Gordon Sargent and David Ford continue their transition into the professional ranks, adding youthful firepower to the lineup. Sponsor exemptions bring added intrigue. Eugenio Chacarra returns to the PGA TOUR, Blades Brown makes back-to-back starts, and John Daly II is set for his TOUR debut. Highly touted 17-year-old Miles Russell is also in the field, along with a strong Puerto Rican contingent competing on home soil. The Tom Kite-designed Grand Reserve (par 72, 7,506 yards) stretches along the coastline and presents a lengthy test, with multiple 600-yard par 5s and coastal winds often shaping the challenge.
