Gout Gout finished sixth in 20.60 at the Oslo Bislett Games 200m on Wednesday, his Diamond League debut, in a race won by Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo in 19.84.
For most 17-year-olds, that's a strong professional result. For the Australian phenom who ran a world-leading 19.67 in April — a world U20 record that made him the fastest junior 200m runner in history — it was a humbling first taste of the highest level of the sport.
