Josh Doan notched the Sabres second of the night late in the second frame, redirecting a shot by Rasmus Dahlin. Early in the third, Tage Thompson scored the Sabres third goal on a solo effort. Ryan McLeod kept the momentum going, tying the game on a breakaway. In overtime, Tage Thompson had a huge hit on Alex DeBrincat, opening up space for Mattias Samuelsson to score the game-winning shot. Colten Ellis made 24 saves in the matchup.
