Thailand vs Serbia | Highlights | Women's VNL 2026. Serbia opened their Women's Volleyball Nations League 2026 campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Thailand on June 3, 2026, in Nanjing, China. The match was part of Week 1, Pool 3 of the preliminary round and marked the first appearance of both teams in the tournament.

Although Thailand fought hard throughout the match and kept the first two sets highly competitive, Serbia's superior height, blocking, and attacking power ultimately made the difference. Serbia won the match in straight sets, 26-24, 25-22, 25-19, extending their recent dominance over the Thai national team.

The opening set was the most dramatic of the match. Thailand battled back from a four-point deficit and pushed Serbia all the way to the closing points. However, Serbia remained composed under pressure and narrowly secured the set 26-24. The second set followed a similar pattern, with Thailand showing excellent defense and fast offensive combinations, but Serbia once again delivered in the crucial moments to take a 2-0 lead. In the third set, Serbia took control early and never looked back, closing out the match 25-19.

The top scorer of the match was Serbia's Aleksandra Uzelac, who finished with 17 points and played a key role in leading her team to victory. Milena Aleksić also made an important contribution with 10 points. For Thailand, Pimpichaya Kokram was the team's leading scorer and carried much of the offensive load, while Ajcharaporn Kongyot also contributed valuable points during the contest.

Thailand once again demonstrated its trademark speed, defensive skills, and fighting spirit, but Serbia's physical advantage at the net proved decisive. The Serbian blockers consistently disrupted Thailand's attacks and created opportunities in transition.

With the victory, Serbia earned an important win to begin their VNL 2026 journey, while Thailand looked to bounce back in its remaining Week 1 matches. Despite the defeat, the Thai team showed plenty of determination and produced several exciting rallies that kept fans entertained throughout the match.
