Dante's Peak | College GameDay
The journey didn’t start at the mountain top for Dante Moore, but rather with some freshman season struggles at another school entirely. Moore was recruited by Oregon out of high school, but instead opted to play for former Oregon head coach, Chip Kelly, then at UCLA. Moore struggled during the little time he played in Los Angeles and soon entered the transfer portal. His first call was to Dan Lanning, telling him he wanted to come to Eugene, by any means necessary, including taking a “gap year” behind incumbent starter Dillon Gabriel. Despite opportunities to start elsewhere, Moore was welcomed to Eugene and developed while he waited and is one game away from reaching the National Championship.
