A shiny yellow leotard catches Rob and Jeanette’s attention in ‘The Vault: Treasures of the Olympics’. It’s Rebeca Andrade’s suit from Paris 2024. It tells her story, one of courage, sacrifice, and resilience. We meet Rebeca at training in Rio. At just 10 years old, she left her family in the favelas to train professionally in Curitiba. After debuting at Rio 2016, she won silver and gold at Tokyo 2020, after recovering from her second ACL tear. But her greatest challenge came in Paris 2024, where she claimed gold in the floor event, surpassing the undefeated Simone Biles.
