The Mini Michigan, Makar’s Edges & Celebrini Magic | NHL Week 19 Best Goals
Hockey
Week 19 delivered another showcase of skill across the NHL.
Tim Stützle created space and found Drake Batherson back door, while Morgan Frost showed tremendous touch tipping a puck from one knee in front of the Dallas net. Matt Duchene delivered one of the assists of the week with a spin-o-rama and sauce pass to Sam Steel.
Cale Makar scored a classic Makar goal using his edges to open space before firing one home, and Macklin Celebrini dazzled with a slick neutral-zone maneuver before finishing past Montreal. Sebastian Aho knocked a puck down and unleashed a nasty backhand goal, while Clayton Keller fooled Dan Vladar with a smooth leg kick finish.
Bo Horvat scored with under a second left in the period, Ryan Donato banked a puck off the end boards to himself before scoring, and Alex DeBrincat delivered a baseball-swing goal off the glass.
Connor McDavid threaded a stretch pass to Zach Hyman for a bar-down finish, Jack Hughes sealed a rivalry win on a breakaway, and trade-deadline acquisition Scott Laughton scored his first goal with the Kings.
Dylan Cozens, Gabriel Vilardi, and Ryan Leonard added highlight plays before Andre Burakovsky capped the week with a beautiful “mini Michigan” tuck goal.
