Why You Keep TOPPING Shots

Topping the ball feels awful. I see it destroy confidence every single day on my lesson tee. Here’s the truth - you’re probably trying to lift the ball into the air. That’s not how golf clubs are designed to work. Nearly all golf clubs are built for one thing: hitting down on the ball. The loft does the work for you. 🎯 Here’s how to fix those tops for good: 1. Stand on the inside of a golf ball. 2. Take practice swings focusing on brushing the grass AFTER where the ball would be ⬇️ 3. Start tiny. Small swings at first, gradually building to fuller swings. Watch where your club contacts the ground 4. Only when you’ve grooved that feeling of hitting down, step up to a real ball. Trust the club to do its job. Remember - you don’t need to help the ball up. The club is designed to do that work. Your job is to hit down and through. Save this drill for your next range session 📌
