In Charlottesville, the No. 21 North Carolina Tar Heels came into town and shot the lights out in their 82-70 win over the Virginia Cavaliers. Elina Aarnisalo led the Heels with 20 points on 8-13 shooting, including 4-5 from three-point range, along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the win. Lanie Grant added 15 points on 3-4 shooting from deep while Nyla Brooks scored 11 points, hitting 3-5 from downtown. As a team, Courtney Banghart's crew made a program-record 16 shots from behind the arc. Kymora Johnson did everything she could to keep the game close and finished with 22 points and 4 assists in the loss.
