Cincinnati Bearcats basketball star Baba Miller is officially headed to the NBA.
The Los Angeles Clippers selected Miller with the 36th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, making him the first Cincinnati Bearcats player drafted into the NBA this decade and the first UC player selected since Jacob Evans III was taken by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft.
Miller spent one season with Cincinnati, but delivered one of the most impressive all-around seasons in recent Bearcats history. The 6-foot-11 forward from Spain averaged 13.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game while earning Second-Team All-Big 12 honors.
His season in Clifton was historic, as Miller became the first Cincinnati player since Oscar Robertson in the 1960s to lead the Bearcats in points, rebounds, and assists over an entire season. He also finished second in the Big 12 with 13 double-doubles and quickly became one of the fastest-rising prospects in the NBA Draft process after an impressive pre-draft cycle and NBA Combine performance.
Miller now becomes the 58th player in Cincinnati basketball history to be selected in the NBA Draft and gives the Bearcats program another player at the next level.
