One of the most thrilling matches of the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship took place in the quarterfinals, when France faced Italy in an unforgettable five-set battle. Played on September 7, 2022 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, this dramatic match featured two of the strongest volleyball nations in the world and delivered incredible rallies, clutch performances, and a tie-break finish.

France entered the match as the reigning Olympic champions from Tokyo 2020, led by superstars Earvin Ngapeth, Jean Patry, Trevor Clevenot, and legendary libero Jenia Grebennikov.
