Kaillie Humphries made history at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games by claiming gold in the debut of the Olympic monobob event. At 36, she played a key role in advocating for a second womenβs bobsleigh discipline to be added to the Olympic program. Humphries finished ahead of fellow American Elana Meyers Taylor, who earned silver, while Canadaβs Christine de Bruin secured bronze. Previously, Humphries had also reached the podium in the two-woman bobsleigh, taking medals at both Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014.
