Run with Me. Adidas Prime X3 Strung. 10miles M. 13.5mi total

I wanted to go for one last long run before Sydney Marathon, but I could only fit in 13.5 miles with 10 at M effort. The Adidas Prime X3 Strung was perfect for this kind of run. The giant wedge of Lighstrike Pro between a plate and rods created a springboard effect up front. And the very aggressive rocker helped alleviate some of the problems I had getting leverage over the carbon as I got fatigued, like in Prime X1 Strung and X2 Strung.
The arch got narrowed and even hallowed out - you can across the shoe and also through the bottom layer of yellow foam in a cross cannula type pattern that visually reminds me of the Asics Metaride, if anyone remembers that reference. But the result is that the shoe is a lot easier to bend and it’s no longer as stabilized (read:safe) as last year’s Primex X2 Strung.
The Prime X3 brings chaos back to the lineup that reminds me of the original not-strung Prime X. But this latest version is so much lighter than last year and comes in at about the same weight as a Vomero Plus.
