Germany vs. Curaçao was billed as a david vs. goliath matchup, with not many giving Curaçao a fighting chance against Julian Nagelsmann's German side. Germany opened the scoring early, but were pegged back to a surprising Curaçao equalizer to level the match at 1-1. Germany turned up the tempo and showed their class, however, scoring six more unanswered goals to recreate a legendary scoreline from Brazil in the 2014 World Cup.
