Today I have a great guest sharing her Life Journey so far. Dr Samara Afzal has quite the story. A young South Asian Girl born and raised in the UK and had a real passion for cricket.
This led to her playing for Warwickshire County Cricket Club. A Board of Directors at Wales Cricket Board. Last but no means least a highly qualified Doctor with the NHS.
Tune in to hear about challenges she faced from extended family who did not wish for her to take up Cricket. How she found working in Surgery in a mail dominated field. How she knocked down those barriers with the support of her parents and mainly her father. How she got involved in driving girls participation in Cricket.
