Olympic champion Hubi Kos had a fantastic showing at the World Cup this fall, winning the overall men's title and breaking world records in the 100 and 200 back. However, Kos had to stop racing at some point and put in base work, which is exactly what Bob Bowman had on the menu for the Hungarian in November.
Coming off of a 24-day altitude training camp that saw the Texas pro group swimming 10 LCM practices per week, Kos performed well again at the US Open. In Austin, Kos swept the 100-200 backstroke and 200 IM as well as placed 3rd in the 50 back and 200 fly and 5th in the 100 fly.
