Kate Douglass Clocks 207.8 in First 200 IM Since Paris: "It's good to... get back into it"
Swimming
At the US Open in Austin, Kate Douglass swam her first 200 IM since the 2024 Paris Olympics, clocking a 2:07.85 to win the event. That was a US Open championship record and her 7th fastest performance ever in the event.
Douglass said that her break from the event after Paris was intentional and much needed. After time not competing in it, she's more open to dipping her toes back into the medley waters to see if it's an event she wants to focus on once again for international competitions.
