The Braves beat the Mariners 3–2 in a pitchers’ duel as Bryce Elder struck out nine over six innings and Atlanta’s bullpen fanned seven more. Matt Olson delivered the deciding ninth-inning homer after Mauricio Dubón’s two-run double supplied the early offense. Atlanta also reshuffled the rotation, starting Martín Pérez instead of Grant Holmes in the series finale, and discussed options for lining up Holmes, Chris Sale, Elder, and Spencer Strider for the upcoming Dodgers series.
